Discover the vibrant rhythms and traditions of West Africa in this Doundou Stick Drum class led by LEAF Resident Teaching Artist and Culture Keeper Adama Dembele.
Open to all ages and experience levels, this hands-on class introduces participants to the techniques, rhythms, and cultural significance of the doundou, a traditional bass drum that plays a central role in West African music.

Join Leaf Cultural Ambassador Adama Dembele for the Yala Cultural Tours! This is a welcoming, hands-on drum class and cultural exploration rooted in West African heritage. Bring your own drum or use one of the instruments available at Leaf Global Arts.
Families are welcome, and all experience levels are encouraged to join!
