At Leaf, we believe the arts belong everywhere: in neighborhoods, parks, classrooms, and gathering spaces. We share our spaces, stages, and mobile resources so artists have a platform, families have a place to gather, and young people have room to create.
Global Party Experience: Venue Rentals
The Story
The Global Party Experience invites you to host your next celebration inside LEAF's home in downtown Asheville. A birthday, a family gathering, a milestone worth marking: these are the moments when art, music, and creativity belong at the center of the room. Our downtown space was built to bring the world to Asheville, and now we're opening its doors for yours.
Our Purpose
Every party at LEAF is designed to spark creativity and build connection. Guests of all ages walk in and walk out having made something together: a painting, a song, a memory. The Easel Art Bar invites hands-on art; the Sound Underground's Instrument Petting Zoo invites hands-on music. Either way, the goal is the same: leave with more than you came in with.
Availability & Booking
Three packages are available:
Basic ($250 / 2 hours): Easel Art Bar, two crafts with a teaching artist, art supplies, party set-up, and music
Premium ($300 / 2 hours): Instrument Petting Zoo in the Sound Underground, instruments, party table, special lights, and music
Ultimate ($400 / 2 hours): Both packages, the entire space, and a photo booth
Easel Rider: Asheville's Mobile Art Lab
The Story
The Easel Rider was created to boost access to public art across the region. The City of Asheville Parks & Recreation Division has been a long-time partner, helping expand public access to visual art for all.
Our Purpose
The Easel Rider is, first and foremost, a community asset and resource. We created it to break down barriers between art and audience: ensuring that creative expression is accessible, inclusive, and free to move beyond traditional gallery walls.
Availability & Booking
The Easel Rider is available year-round in two formats: a short session for community pop-ups and a longer session for deeper engagement.
Semester: Year-round
Pricing: $150 (1–3 hour session)
$300 (4–6 hour session)
U-LEAF:
Mobile Art Stage
The Story
The U-LEAF was built through a grant project featuring 13 scholarshipped students from 7 different universities. Drawing on a wide range of design and technical disciplines, these students spent two months fabricating models, workshopping blueprints, surveying community needs, and ultimately constructing the final product — now available to all of Asheville.
Our Purpose
The U-LEAF is, first and foremost, a community asset and resource. We created it to foster pathways of access, inclusivity, and community-building through the collaborative production of high-integrity events in neighborhoods, community centers, public parks, and even private functions.
Availability & Booking
The U-LEAF is available in three forms: a simple stage deployment; the stage with administrative support; or a comprehensive package with stage, admin, and a full PA sound system. Pricing is determined based on the nature of your event, your organization's status (private vs. non-profit), and partnership status with LEAF.
Semester: Spring, Summer & Fall
Pricing: $450 (stage only) / $850 (full deployment & production per day)
