Resident Teaching Artist Programs
A Year-Round Lineup of Local Culture Keepers
LEAF Schools & Streets creates global arts education programs that use the arts to bridge cultures and create life-affirming, community-building experiences - empowering local youth to become global citizens, young artistic leaders, and agents of positive change. Since 2004, Schools & Streets programs have worked directly with year-round resident teaching artists who bring the power of cultural arts to youth across our communities throughout Western North Carolina.
LEAF offers students opportunities to explore a vibrant range of traditions through hands-on workshops, classes, and residencies. Check out the Cultural Arts Catalog to learn more about the offerings of each teaching artist.
Resident artists are available year-round with opportunities to perform at signature LEAF events.
