LEAF Celebrates the Blues:
Your Spring LEAF 2012 Performing Arts Lineup
Headlining our 34th festival are Blues legend Taj Mahal, Afrobeat progeny Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, and New Orleans institution Preservation Hall Jazz Band. In addition to Taj, several other artists will be helping to celebrate Blues Traditions, with support in part by a grant from the National Endowment of the Arts. Art Works. From the dark, smoky clubs of Chicago & St. Louis, all the way down through the Hill Country and into the bayous of the Deep South, you'll be introduced to an sampling of Blues artists, intermingled with the diversity of cultural names and faces you've come to love at LEAF.

The Asheville City Schools Foundation is offering LEAF the opportunity to benefit directly from GO LOCAL card sales. Our goal is to sell 400 cards and raise $2000!
WHAT IS IT? It's a loyalty card that allows you to shift your shopping and support excellent education for all students. With every $15 Go Local Card sold, 1/3 goes to directly to schools and youth-serving programs, 1/3 goes to ACS Foundation's equity fund and grant making programs, and the remaining third supports Asheville's Buy Local Campaign. That means 100% of the purchase price stays in a our community. BUY YOUR GO LOCAL CARD TODAY AND SUPPORT LOCAL MUSIC AND ARTS FOR YOUTH! IMPORTANT!
